As Memphis Soaring's fleet ages, unplanned expenses arise! Air worthiness directives (AD's) such as tow plane spar replacement and tail AD requiring replacement of structural components are costly. Thanks for considering a donation to assist with these expenses!
The MSS Scholarship Fund supports youth training and aspiring instructors to obtain their ratings. See the Scholarship Page for full details.

Soaring is more than a sport—it’s a calling that nurtures discipline, focus, and a lifelong love of flight. The Chilhowee Soaring Association believes that the future of soaring depends on giving young pilots the chance to take wing. The CSA Junior Scholarship helps make this possible by reducing the financial barriers for youth who demonstrate dedication, talent, and promise in their training. Our goal is to raise $15,000 by the end of the year [ too aggressive? ] to sponsor three junior pilots. Each contribution directly funds flight training, opening the skies to young people who might not otherwise have the opportunity. By supporting the scholarship, you are not just helping a student—you are investing in the future of soaring itself. If you love the sport, if you remember the thrill of your first solo, or if you simply want to share the joy of silent flight, we invite you to give. The MSS Scholarship Fund supports new youth training and aspiring instructors to obtain their ratings. See the Scholarship Page for details.
